The purpose of a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a Request for Quotes (RFQ) is to invite prospective vendors to submit a proposal to supply materials or services to Great Northern Services (GNS) . The RFP / RFQ process provides vendors with relevant requirements.
Many of our programs are federally funded and require GNS to procure all services and supplies through an RFP/Q process. This allows GNS to establish subcontracts with vendors in order to provide taxpayers the best services and materials for the price. Even for programs that are funded through other means, it is GNS’s policy to use appropriate procurement procedures.
GNS is a private non-profit organization that invigorates communities by initiating social change to improve economic conditions. We run programs that include but are not limited to Economic and Business Development, Community Development, Home Energy & Weatherization, and Community Services.
We are committed to operating with transparency and we want you and every member of the public to know as much as possible about how we operate. You can view information on our Mission, Vision, and Values; Financial Statements, and Board of Directors.
