Feed hungry kids in Siskiyou County: Be a Summer Lunch Chef
Work alongside other dedicated volunteers and GNS staff to prepare the healthy, wholesome meals that are distributed through the Summer Food Program. Shifts are available Monday through Friday, 7 am to 9:30 am from June 17th to August 9th. Prep work is done at the Weed Elementary School Kitchen off of S. Davis Ave in Weed, CA.

Make sure breaks from school aren’t breaks from good nutrition.
Load healthy, wholesome food into Snack Bags that will be delivered to schools for distribution to families with children during extended school breaks. Bags will be assembled at the Great Northern Services Storage Facility at 310 Boles St. in Weed, CA.
Activities will include sorting, packing, and loading. No prior experience is necessary.
Help will be needed on April 17th to pack Spring Break Bags for local schools participating in the Snack Bag Program. Sign up to help pack snack bags.
