During the long winter break, the program provides snack bags with enough nutritious food for every child in the eligible household. This extends support beyond the school day and reaches children from toddlers through age nineteen. These snack bags help families maintain consistent access to food when schools are closed and regular meal programs are not available.
Most participating schools serve communities where nearly all students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Together, these efforts help ensure that children can learn, grow, and fully participate in school without food insecurity standing in their way.
This work is made possible by the dedication of local Rotary members, individual volunteers, and the generosity of donors who help keep the program active and responsive. Together, we are building healthier and more resilient schools and communities.
