Following several years of gathering community input, assessing community needs, and building partnerships, Great Northern will help realize a marketplace center in Mount Shasta: the “Local Food Marketplace at The Landing.”
GNS envisions:
- Permanent kitchen facilities available for rent by small and start-up food businesses
- Expert business development training and support for local food entrepreneurs
- Locally sourced and crafted products available for sale year-round on site
- An expanded, year-round Farmers Market at the marketplace center
More ideas are being explored, all aimed to create a place where community members can participate in the county’s food security and economic vitality.
