Through a matching grant from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture, GNS is conducting a county -wide community food assessment.
Phase One: Community Food Security Survey
The first phase, a survey to determine the level of food insecurity in the County, particularly among low-mod income families, was conducted in the late winter of 2012 and spring of 2013. Results from the survey are available to any community member, group or agency that wants to review them. The full results are available in a 190+ page pdf. Condensed results that identify specific topics and areas of interests are being made available. To request results, contact Renee Casterline at rcasterline[at]gnccorp.org.
Survey Responses total 886!
